Keyword Research Questions
How accurate and reliable are statistics from keyword research tools? My supposed "niche" 'new online income opportunity' had a 24-hr search result of 580 according to a very popular keyword research tool when I started optimizing it. For the past 4 months, it has been fluctuating between 450 to 650 which is fine. Now, for the past 1 week or so, I find that there are "zero" searches being shown in the 24-hr count. On the contrary, my own website is recording more than 100 hits per day through Google organic search itself. Likewise another of my keyword 'where is dubai' that is drawing a traffic of average 150 visits per day through Google organic search has a total search of 20 per day according to this super tool. Any comments? I thought I was pretty good in using such tools, but now I wonder if I know to use them at all. For how can such well reckoned and vastly used research tools be wrong? What data should I gather for keyword research? I can only gather the number of webpages with the particular keyword, or the number of times people have searched for it. Is that enough? (Please don't shove your affiliate products on me. I want answers not sales pitches).
what is the best tool for keyword research? I want to buy a tool that tells me exactly... what people are looking for, how many searches there are, and how many results there are. Also i would like soething that allows me to dig down and find small niches... any ideas?

does anyone know of a good keyword research course to take up? SEO key word reasearch is obviously vital for getting good traffic. there is an abundance of information and personal opinions around. i am looking for a definitive guide to help me and my staff to focus and use some of the best techniques for SEO work as well as to understand how the research should be carried out. I am looking to explain competition results to my customers and how to do this analysis. does anyone have a really good comprehensive course?
Looking for a specific keyword research tutorial? A few years back, I came across a website where you were able to download a .pdf document that had a very long and in depth keyword research tutorial, and it encouraged you to do your research while reading along with what the author was showing you. I recall the tutorial was plugging a webmaster program (I think part of the program's name had the word "site" in it, but that's probably not very helpful!) and was very obviously an affiliate trying to sell - but the tutorial was still extremely useful and I would love to refresh my memory if I can find it again. Ideas?
Can you use Google Adword Keyword Tool for keyword research? I'm doing keyword research, and I've used Overtures keyword tools but I'm confused with Google's. I would like to know if the Google's Adword tool's "search volume trend" data can be used for keyword research. i.e is this the data that people type into Google over a certain period of time to search for things? Or are these popular keywords that Adwords advertisers use to bid for keywords? I A bit confused????
Astronomic difference between keyword research tools. WHY? Hi everybody! Thank you for your answers, Question: I have reviewed some keyword research tools, and saw a great difference between them. For example Wordtracker gives for "interesting facts" - 44077 daily searches, while Trellian's Keyword Discovery tool says that it is 114. How it can be? We all know that no keyword research tool has accurate numbers, but why they have so big differences? Thanks, Vusal
Keyword research...where? How? Keyword research...where? How? Now that overture has turned off the Keyword Research Tool where does one now go for recursive keyword research? (as one could do with the tool). Are there third-party solutions that will give you the words and cost estimates for Yahoo, MSN, and Google?
Keyword Research help? I have found my websites core keywords: "keyboard reviews" I've decided to wrap my entire site around those core keywords. When it comes to researching keywords for my sub pages do i simply just use the keyword variations that the google adword tool comes up with or do i try to think what i think people would type into Google and try to optimize for those regardless of traffic potiental?
Does this keyword research look right to you? ( I even give away a free niche)? Hey guys just need a little advise from you pros out there. I think (or hope) that I have the keyword research area down but I need some advice to see if i am doing this right. I was strolling through sitepoint.com and was looking for a good niche to dive into and came across the niche "acai berry" to I did a quick look on the amount of hits this exact keyword recieved and its around like a 18,000 or so but the competition is in the millions so i looked down the list and found another longtail keyword which was 'acai berry juice' and it recieved like 989 hits per day and only has like 266,000 pages of competition. I decided to launch my attack that this level. The only issue that I have with this is that the number of daily hits for any sub keyword for 'acai berry juice' tappers off quickly. I mean the only other sub keyword that has a good amount of daily hits is 'acai berry juice benefits' that gets around 155 hits per day and only about 961 pages of competition so I figure I'd hit a gold mine but the only problem is that everything below that sub keywords only get hits in the single digits or teens. Did I dig to deep into this niche to wrap my site around? Should I have moved a little more broad to a term like 'acai berry' ? Thanks for any advice on the whole keyword research you can shed my light on. I'm not concerned about this site being competed against as i only launched this site as a test so see if i could get some traffic to this site regardless of making $$$$ PM if you would like...I hope I am doing this right... hxxp://bestacaiberryjuice.blogspot.com/

How do I stop my keyword research program for returning Google results with Chinese characters? Recently, a keyword research program that I use began returning Google results in Chinese characters. My preferences are set to English and I have no proxy server running (so my IP address shows that I am in San Diego, CA and not Taiwan or something.) Any ideas how to correct this? I ran a thorough virus scan last night and no viruses were found. I am running an adware scan right now. I just cannot think of any other ways to correct this.

Article Marketing - How to effectively research keywords? I'm doing some article marketing and came across a video of an article marketer who discussed two free websites that are really good for finding articles and information for research. All you do once you get to the website is type your keyword(s) into the search box and it pulls up articles from all over the web for that particular keyword(s). It's like an all-in-one type thing where every article (for the particular keyword you've typed into the search box) that's listed in Google, Yahoo, MSN, AOL and all the other search engines will pop up. For instance, if I type in the keyword "best vacuum cleaners", it will pull a complete list of nothing but articles from all of the search engines. I've been searching for hours trying to remember the websites and locate the sites that the guy mentioned in his video, but with no luck. If anyone knows what websites I'm referring to, would you please help me out. This would be a very convenient and much quicker way to research related articles for my niche.

For example : Keyword seached 40,000 times per month Google compertiton for that keyword is 100,000,000 Also google keyword tool seems to give me is the hits per month for the keyword, what im trying to ask is i want to know how many pages are in google associated with keywords I type in which brings up a list. At present im having to type each keyword in google.com to find out how many pages it brings up, surely there is a quicker way which lists number or times a keyword is typed in per month and also number of pages associated with keyword on google. I need help with keyword research for affiliate marketing!? Ok here's the problem. I was told that when sniffing out the competition it's useful to put a certain keyword in quotes and see how many results are seen on Google. It's supposed to test how many entries are optimized for than term right? So why is it that I can enter a unique term that may return only 500 -1000 results in google? Yet when I look on the google keyword tool it says that the term has heavy competition. I'm having trouble understanding exactly what I'm supposed to go by here.
