Which keyword tools tell you how many competing sites there are in google? I am looking for a keyword tool that I can input keywords and it will tell me how many competing sites there are for that phrase, ie (it checks the number of results for "keyword") I used to have one but it broke. I have not stopped crying since. Your help is very much needed.
How accurate and reliable are statistics from keyword research tools? My supposed "niche" 'new online income opportunity' had a 24-hr search result of 580 according to a very popular keyword research tool when I started optimizing it. For the past 4 months, it has been fluctuating between 450 to 650 which is fine. Now, for the past 1 week or so, I find that there are "zero" searches being shown in the 24-hr count. On the contrary, my own website is recording more than 100 hits per day through Google organic search itself. Likewise another of my keyword 'where is dubai' that is drawing a traffic of average 150 visits per day through Google organic search has a total search of 20 per day according to this super tool. Any comments? I thought I was pretty good in using such tools, but now I wonder if I know to use them at all. For how can such well reckoned and vastly used research tools be wrong? Is there a way to export data from the Google keyword tool to a spreadsheet? I would like to export the data from the Google External Keyword tool to an Excel spreadsheet so that I can delete rows and columns of information as needed. Is there a way to get that table of information to an excel spreadsheet? I want all the details about the keywords as well that is shown. Not just a huge list of keywords. That is not helpful to me.

You would basicly type the keyword and hit submit and it would tell you how many times this particular keyword was searched for in the top 10 most popular search engines. Advertiser competition in google keyword tool? Question about Google's keyword tool For those who have used it - this pertains to the green bars which indicates the advertiser competition for any keyword. I've noticed most are either completely full or not full at all. When exporting this data it can provide values between 0 and 1 (1 being completely full) Does anyone know how these values are calculated? Is this on a logarithmic or linear scale? Also since so many have competition values greater than 1, it's difficult to see competition differences past a certain point For example: "Economy" has a full green bar, and gets 3.35 million searches on average "Business and Economy" has a full green bar, but only 27,000 searches on average. Although both are given "1" competition values (full bars), I get the feeling there is much more competition for economy than "business and economy" Any insight here?

why did Yahoo kill the keyword selection tool found at Overture.com. This was unbelievably helpful !!? This tool captures user queries and tabulates the number of requests for the given keyword. Overture gives keyword traffic data for Yahoo. Does anyone know of a free tool for Google that does the same? The facts are in from unbiased, 3rd party research groups and the majority of searches on the web are done via Google. I have had great success with search engine traffic due to free information from Overture's Keyword Search Tool. Of course there are many searches done on Google that are also done on Yahoo. For instance: If "widget" had 1,738 searches through Yahoo; Google on the other hand might have had 8,867 searches for "widget". In this case, "widget" goes from being of medium importance to maybe being the central focus of SEO for my site. All internet entrepreneurs, like my self, that practice effective SEO, could really, seriously use a tool like Overture for Google. If anyone knows of a free tool like this PLEASE let me know. The problem I have with alot of the software out there is that it simply pulls keywords from related site's meta tags. I mean c'mon I can do that myself!
